Today , my eyes and attention fell on the great personality whom I have always adored eversince i came to learn about him. And all these years, he has just risen in his stature in my eyes.
He is the founder of the software firm in India , Infosys – powered by intellect, driven by values.
His integrity is impeccable. He is a stalwart whom I look up to. I had a chance encounter with him once. It was my outdoor catering assignment during my hotel management days.
I spotted him standing while I was serving the snacks to the guests at the Infosys annual function. I had nothing to take his autograph. So, i took it on my hostel id card. Unfortunately, I have lost the card but the act remains freshly etched in my memory.
I just wish I could do an iota of deeds like him. He has made more millionaires than anyone else. He has never been shy to share his wealth. He distributed his company shares to his drivers, security guard, cooks, cleaners and whoever he may have worked with.
Where else do you find a CEO of a company queing up to eat lunch. Where have you heard that he still lives in a 2 bedroom apartment where he started. Where else will you find the example that the leader is so quiet and speaks only he is required to and not flaunting whenever and wherever.

Mr Murthy’s wife is as popular among the public as he is and she need not be introduced to be introduced as his wife. Sudha Murthy stands on her own as a personality worth knowing and being in company with her.
Mrs. Murthy has a very massive following now on social media. She is a writer, a social worker, a public speaker and a great motivational speaker. I have been following her while i was in Bengaluru and i learnt that she is a teacher at the Christ college. She needed a job to experience life and not to make a living.
There was once upon a time when she did work to run the show at home. She has been the seed investor in Infosys. It was her savings of 10k that Mr Narayan Murthy borrowed from her to turn into heaps of gold later. It was her savings that she had been keeping wrapped up inside the kitchen utensils.
You can follow her on social media and I promise that you won’t be disappointed. You would walk out richer and much better person once been on her audience. You must try to access and read the books that she has written. She is one amazing author that I have come across.
She confessed that her books are inspired from her social works and the experiences that she had all along the way. I feel her social work has found one more medium in books to disseminate her message of love, compassion and sense of belonging to the community.
She is a real Amma who treats the world and the people living in it as her one big family. She truly epitomises the saying, vasudev kutumbakam
